Outdoor

Hello everyone! I hope you´re very well. I thing that I would say that I´m very active in general, and I have very energy for made many things. When I don´t stay studying, I am doing two activities in outdoors. The football is my passion. Is the thing most important apart of my studies and the second thing that a do: dance Zumba fitness and Latin rhythms.

I started play soccer since five years ago, when my brother started couch me. Zumba started in my life this year, when the teacher invited me to dance for an event to fitness. I practice football four or five time for week, and three times for week with Zumba

I like this because I feel happy when I play or dance. This sensation that made a goal, and kick whit all your energy, is incredible! And about Zumba, I love this sensation when you are dancing and you move your body with passion and all your energy and you laugh and enjoy the choreography, the mistakes, all!  Now I´m part of Juan Gómez Millas´s Selection. Is a Futbolito´s team that represents all campus. Is great thing that you play for many people.

Old Song...

In my life, the music was a very good friend in my most important moments. the songs of the past, of my past, was something like “the past sentence you”. I loved the latin music and pop music, so I listened songs for dancing or enjoy with my friends. the song that I choose is “1, 2, 3” by El Símbolo, a popular latin music group of 90´s – 2000´s.

When I was seven or eight years old, I watch “Zona Latina”, a TV channel where show all videos that were hit of moment. So, with my friend returns of the school, and we started to dance for hours! every week!  was so funny! we loved this video, with the ants dancing, the rhythm, the choreography… One day, we liked saw the video, so we called to the TV show, and how I don´t know use the large distance, I called like ten times! jojojo. To final of this month, my mother almost killed me, because the TV bill was like $100.00!!! well, for this, I never more use the house´s phone.

I love this song. When I listen this group, I wish dance immediately and start a party. when I was a little girl, only enjoy, and don´t be problems or selection with the music, only danced!

Rumble fish summary

Rumble Fish is a story narrated by Rusty James. He finds himself with an old friend Steve, and they remember a story about a fight RJ was in. The flashback takes place when he is 14. Rusty James is a tough guy and says he had won every fight for the last two years. This time he fought a kid named Biff who was 16. They planned to fight at 8 o’clock. News spread about the fight and they were afraid it would turn into a gang fight, so each person brought their own friends. RJ’s friend Steve said he would go, but didn’t show up until the end. Instead, Motorcycle Boy came to the fight. When he arrived he distracted RJ, and Biff was able to stab him with a knife. RJ didn’t have a knife. After he gets stabbed, Steve shows up and Motorcycle Boy ends the fight by breaking Biff’s wrist. Steve, RJ and Motorcycle Boy go home instead of to a doctor to fix RJ’s wound. At the end, we find out that Motorcycle boy is really RJ’s brother

One on One

Hello! I confess you something. If I could be Oprah or something similar, I will make a “face to face show”, like a cool version of The Sunday Interview. My principal one on one will be with Michael Jackson. Why? Because is the King of Kings! The best representative icon between all the pop artists.

I would choose Michael Jackson (I know he’s dead but still) because I consider him great musician and person. His work was amazing and he made that millions of people remember songs like “We are the world” or “Just beat it”. At the age of 13, Jackson decided to make solo career in addition to his work with the Jackson 5 (remember songs like “don’t never give up!”).  His songs are so popular and a lot of famous singer makes covers, like Chris Cornell with “Billy Jean” in unplugged version. He makes a duo with Paul Mc Cartney, Britney Spears and unpublished song with Freddy Mercury.

I would ask him three things:

A journey

Hello everyone! I hope you are very well with return to second semester. Today I need talk about a special or memorable journey. When I was a little girl –more little than now- I had many journeys for the country. My parents loved travel with friends, and we were in the car travel for many days, stopping in all places than we liked meet. One of this journeys was since Santiago to Valdivia, when I have between seven and twelve years old, I don´t remember very well.

I travel with mi parents, my brother and friends of my parents with his son. My father wake up to three o´clock for carry things to the car, and to five o´clock my mother wakes up us for start to travel. I don´t remember all places or cities that we know, but my mother always show me the photos and tall me many stories of this holidays.

I never eat seafood, but I remember that in a place near to Valdivia, we taste a mollusc called “huepo”, and…Oh my god! Is one of the foods more incredible that exist. The huepo only are in the south of Chile, and his extraction is the craftwork. I always will remember this journey, because was one of the last travel of my family, before that my parent decided finish his relationship.

Santiago City

Hello everyone! I hate Santiago. The people, the architecture, all! But, in some times of my life I stayed in places that inspired me or make me happy. One of these special places is the intersection between Paris with Londres, in Santiago Center.

I don´t know all Santiago, but I think that I meet many places for made an opinion of interesting places. When I studied in High School, I studied Photography, and the teacher asked for a photo inspired in some photograph. So a classmate chooses an urban photograph, and I accompany him to the center of the Capital. Walking for the streets, back to San Francisco Museum and San Francisco Hotel, we found this neighborhood and we stayed in shock. Was incredible!

I don´t go frequently, but for example, when a go to a demonstration, I go to see the architecture, the composition and the environment of this place.  I like for many things. When I go to first time, meanwhile we take photos, an artist started to sing and play guitar. All people that were walking or stayed in the buildings started to sing and started to come in around the artist. I know that is a European style, but is great think that today are places that preserve his essence and a culture that other movements can´t broke.

The Concert

Hello classmates! I hope you are very well. Today I talking about a Concert, because I can´t will choose an Exhibition between all that I visited. So, is not very complicated choose a Concert, because I went to only two, and I talking about my last Concert.

I don’t like go to the concerts, because the price of the tickets in this country are a crime, and I don´t like promote this practices. But I decided went because was the farewell Concert of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, before they decided separates. I don´t remember when was exactly, maybe in 2009. The Concert was in Club Hípico, and was other artists: Los Tres y Chico Trujillo.

I love Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. Is a mix between rock, Afro-Americans rhythms and sounds of the popular culture. The lyrics are very inspired, for his themes about liberty of the persons, the State´s repression, lyrics about the South-American people, etc.

Y went alone to the Concert, but into The Club Hípico I found many of my friends –one of my best friends went too!-, so I was with many people! Was amazing! The music, Vicentico, the atmosphere, the dance, all! But, the best thing that happen this day, was found to a big friend that living in Argentina.

Dream of kids

Hello everyone! I hope you´re very well. Welcome to the IV level! Today, I write about an ambition that a have. Is a dream since I am a little girl, and is play football in a professional stadium. Is a basic dream, but I always think who someone will can feel here! Playing in some important field of a country, feeling the pressure and listening to all people singing about you.

I love play soccer, since always, when I play in my house with my brother. He teaches me play, and together we are watching the cartoons about soccer (The Super Champions) for hours! And we talk about the experience of play in a real stadium, for example in Bombonera, Garden Square, National Stadium, Old Trafford, etc.

I don´t know if is possible fulfill this dream someday. Maybe when travel I will could know some stadium and visit the grave, but I don´t know if I will play in a stadium, with the full stadium and in a great soccer´s team. But I will be happy if a known and see to the great team, such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Santos, Manchester United or Juventus.

This summer maybe I travel to Brazil for play in a football championship. This is the opportunity for feel play in a real stadium, I hope.

The Best?

Hello everyone! I hope you are very well. Today we need write about the best. But, exist the best? I thing that is impossible say who is the best in art`s field, because the history of art is the history of subjetive and the sensibility. Is complicated too say what is the art/Art, so I am talking about an art`s group that is, in my opinion, the best attempt of make a social art: the Constructivism.

Russian Constructivism was looking back to the old vision of art: the inseparable relationship between art and life. From the worker`s revolution, is seeking a reaching method and a call for unity after the creation of a new popular imagination, which will be rebuilt or replace eventually with the less revolutionary period of the revolution: Stalin`s period.

The Constructivism is saw in two aspects: the development of useful life objects (industrial design), and the other is the propaganda (graphic design, advertising).

Examples of this movement are Rodchenko, Lazlo Moholy Nagy and El Lissitzky, who proposed the theory of the artist-constructor, that is the commitment by the revolutionary movement, saying that the artist are part of the process, and more importantly, the base for the conduct of life, and not vice versa.

For me, this group es the most important in the history of art, because were the only that presentated the real relantionship between art and life. During many times the theory said that the artist is separated of the social work, because is not necessary. But this started when the artist began to did his work for a particular institution, and not for the social reason. So I invited you to see the Constructivism and Bauhaus`s work, and say me what you think :)

Law and order

Hello everyone! I hope you are very well. Today I start with a question that I conversed with my family some few days: why the people are so angry, and just is demonstrate in Piñera`s government? Diverse mass meetings show this situation, but today I am talking about a law of little interest for the press.

It is true. Hidroaysén and the education reform have the attention is this times, but not are the only problems. What happen with the health? In the winter, is most evident all fails of our public health system. Infinites rows, shortage of equipment and bad attention are some problems. For this, the people are choosing for a better option: the private system.

The private clinics offer an excellent attention and guarantees for pay a month share. His prices depend of the people that make the contract: a single woman, a married woman, a single man, a family guy, an ancient, etc. Is more expensive when the people have children, have catastrophic illness or are up the 50 years old, because are more inclined to use the service constantly and in this case the clinic lose because many times the cost for the attention of this people is more expensive that the plan`s price.

The new ISAPRE`s law, obligated to the private health system to charge the same price for all people`s type, independent of his health condition. What is the problem of this? The cost of the plan will be more expensive or will have less cover, transforming the private system in a bad system and in an inaccessible system for the middle class.

Free Topic

Hello everyone! When somebody says:  “you can do everything!” is most complicated that a predetermine work.  So today we have a free topic, and is very complicated choose some topic.

Today I write about SEMDA (Medical and Dental Service for Students) situation.  WTF! Some few weeks, I got injured meanwhile I played football. So I got to Emergency for the student health care system. Here the attention was very good, because is a Clinic Hospital, and was early. But, the next day I got to SEMDA for an orthopedic check, and the situation is horrible. I don`t tell you of attention, but the system in general. For example, in the morning have only one orthopedic and one kinesthetic, FOR THOUSANDS STUDENTS! And only have one gynecologist, ONE, for all girls. This people work most of 10 hours for day, with a lower salary in comparison with a minimum salary.

Now, the new “public politics” of the new government want convert this free service only for students in a private service, delegate this work to another health service. The sale of SEMDA produces many protests with all University stratums. For example the employees ask for better salary and a regular contract. The students ask for a free attention and only for students.

What we can do? Combine student, teachers, doctors and all employees and demand our rights now! It is time of fight together for a better social situation. We have the energy and the cause, only we need do it!

Good Times

Hello everyone! I hope you`re very well. Today, I`ll talk you about a very special photograph for me. In my schooling, I don`t have the normal studies, like Biology or English class. I study visual arts, and more specifically, publicitary design, and in this mention I study photography during four years.

For graduated of the thirst level (2007), we had made an investigation about one photograph saw in class. So I chose to Pierre & Gilles, gay artists of France that make kitsch photographs and later they painting on the developing photography. After investigation, I need made a photograph inspired in the Pierre & Gilles`s job, and here started the story of this photo.

This photograph was stage and took for me with a camera of 35 mm, with black and white roll of 200 ASA, in an overcast day and in 500 for velocity. The esthetic and the social concept –for example gays and his relation with the Church- that use they inspired me for made a work of games between Maria`s Virgin and a contemporary young, in Kitsch terms. The woman that you see is a classmate, and the man is his boyfriend. The idea was that don`t see sharp because is a “private” and “incorrect” scene, and the spectator is convert in gossip and ghoulish person.

Independent the significant or significance of the photo, I like so much because I enjoyed prepared the photograph and was the art director for a day. Ah! this isn`t the definitive photo, this is a study for the final work, and this is for a next ocassion.

Education Now!

Hello everyone! The last Thursday, we experimented a great demonstration of the social dissatisfied. The topic today is about the demonstrations and educational issues at the moment, and I`m going to do an analysis of educational situation since the student vision, in the Secundary like in the University.

Many are the injustices that affect us, and are most evident in this government. Torture, privatization, politics prisoner, ambiental damage, are examples of this situation. Affect me because I don`t have the recurses for study or buy a propiety or a good style of life, for example. My family is member of the left movement, so is difficult too unwrap in the actual state politics.

About the education, have a issue sing that say: “education first, to son of working-class, education later, to son of bourgeois”. This is the fight slogan of the “penguin revolution” in 2006, apart of the idea of  free and quality education. In this period I introduce me in the student politic to this year, when I leave the students coordination.

After all issues and study about this, I conclude that is neccesary that we demand a politic educational made for the state, and the state is the only reponsible for an education egalitarian and for all citizen. If we think that the education is cultural and isn`t natural, so the parents not are preparates for educate to a person. The culture is the only in charge of the education, and the culture is under government politics. For that, we need fight and ask for our right`s study, free and for all.

Hello everyone! Today we did a search web about a travel for London.

I think that I never will stay in a situation where I will use the english in a context of dialogue, but...if I travel? Many times we not think the necessity of planification for not lose us in situations where we have the tourist condition.

The experience of search in the web in english, is a opportunity to reinforce the vocabulary and this help me to use the internet correctly and too for apply the ingenuity, that with a little effort we can do many things such as cost of travel, transport in the city or interesting places.

We are costumary to the easy access to the information that we lose the capacity of search. Do it the search in english help us for familiarize with the english culture, and (why not!) draw up a plan for a next travel.

Hello everyone! I am not a friend of technology (as I said in the last post). So, the topic today is my favourite web site, and you understand that I don`t have a favourite web site, but I will try to present some web site interesting for you.

I`m talking about You Tube, a web site of videos that any people of the world can upload, and you can download too. I discovered this page when I`m fifteen years old, when my classmates saw Happy Tree Friends, a cartoons about happy animals that in a moment suffered an accident that kill them. Even though it sounds cruel, to the fifteen years old is very funny.

I don`t visit often the web site, but one time in the month I visit for hours inclusive. I see many videos, for example series, movies, cartoons, music videos, funny events of the daily, etc.

I like You Tube because is a public application where the user can show to the rest of world anything (anything!), since world records even Susan Boyle in American Idol. You can be the most popular trough the visit that you have. For example, the Mexican boy that fell in the water meanwhile he say “no buey”, or the guy that can do more applause in one minute, or the alternative final of “The cosmic cat”, etc.

Hello everybody , now im P (I`m) going to talk about a film very special W.O (very special film) for me _ P (point)

I dont have a favorite movie, but i really like The big S (Big) Fish of W.W (by) Tim Burton, and L likes (and I likes) me for many reason L (and) today im P (I`m) goin W.W (going) to mention two of them.The first reason that i S (I) like this movie is that was the first movie that i see T (saw) in the cinema with my boyfriend six years ago. I remember that i S (I) liked so much the W.W (this) movie because i S (I) remember wen (when) i S (I) was a child and my grandfather tell T me (told) stories full of fantasy, but i S (I) believe hem W.W (him) _ P (point) now understand W.O (Now I undestand) the intention of my grandfatherand W.W (grandfather) and these stories are part of my childhood and i S (I) always remember W.O (I always will remember).
The big fish S (Big Fish) teaches that the reality doesn´t exist, is only a limit that we impose, and the man can be as big as he want if only it W.W (we) never loses the faculty of imagine.

Techno-life

Hi ! today I`m going to write about my favourite piece of Technology. I don’t be friend of the technology, but the “social pression” made that I have many devices. In the contemporany times, the technology are since the most basic things until atomic bombs, so whereas we living in the city, is impossible are whithout technology.

Between all pieces that are in ours daily times, I think that the most essential for my is the mobile phone. I got it when I was fourteen years old, so my brain was educated for take this with responsability. I have used six years, but changing the mobile phone for many reasons, for example, because some phones loved the water.

I use the mobile phone everyday. I don`t living –meanwhile I study- with my parents, so they call me all days. Too have a constant connection with my friends, for example when I stay in Hospital in the holidays or weekends.

I like the mobile phone because contain the operates of many others pieces of technology, such as the time, calendary, alarm, music, radio, internet, calculator, etc. And I can be connected in case of emergency. For example, in the last earthqueake my mobile phone operated all time, and I listenned the radio for was informated.

Movie-Land

Hello ! the topic of today is a great theme, “my favorite movie”. During my short life, I don`t see much movies, because I don`t have the culture of go to the cinema or stay in my house watching movies. But, I think that the few movies that I see are greats.

The movie that I go to talk is The Lion King. Why? Because in the course of the life, we see much movies, for the director, for the special effects, for the theme, etc. But, the really movies that to have a profound impact on us, are the movies that to leave a memory of the moment, of the people that I see the movie, etc. I love this movie! Is funny, dynamic, dramatic, and framework in me a big impression and show me a great lesson.

I see this movie when I haved four years old, when my parents obliged to my and my brother to sit down with family to see movies. So, I see all movies of Walt Disney Pictures about princess, fairy tales, and cartoons in general.

I don`t know if is necessary tall you the story, because the movie is very popular, but basically is the history of a little lion (Simba) that in the future will are a lion of the jungle. He have a father that is the actual lion king (Mufasa), but he have a brother (Scar) that is jealous, so he kill to Mufasa. So Simba start the travel for the jungle and he meet to Timón and Pumba, that are a meerkat and a will board, respectively. I don`t tell you the finish of the story, because if you don`t see still, I invited to buy handkerchief, pop corns or ice cream, and enjoy with the movie by Rob Minkoff.



Nalca`s Road

Hello everyone. Today I need talking about one place that I enjoyed visit. Coincidentally, this summer I have a mystic travel for the south of this beauty country.

Is very difficult say what place is more wonderful, because all landscapes of the south are amazing. If I had that choose, with my heart divided, I preffer the landscapes of Chiloé`s Island.

I traveled with two of my friends and classmates, Cristian and Javier. We went in January, when the climate is “bipolar”, for example, in the morning the sun is great, but at midday started to rain, and this is cool.

In Chiloé we walked, mainly. And eat much “nalcas”, a plant that to grow for all the road.

When I loved of the island, we went to Cucao, a place to the western of the island. So in this moment, was to get dark and I see the sunset with the sheeps grazing. Oh ! was a great moment! I like the little thing that the nature life give me, and just I take the photography of this scene.

So, I invited to all people that have the possibility to travel, that go to this place, because in anywhere else, we are not the pleasure of see this things, and stay with nice people that made the tour for Huillinco Lake, the only lake that have salad water.

Hello everyone. I´m ValeskaPaulinaNaveaCastro and this is my first post.
What say about me? I have 20 years old, I study History and Theory of Art in Chile`s University.
This is my third year and has the obligation of created a blog. Why? I don´t know, maybe they think that all young like this. But I hate all, such as write about me, read about they, etc.
Any way. I am living in Hospital, a little town in Paine, (yes, the city of watermelon) but in the week I living in Santiago meanwhile study.
I play football for the JGM campus`s selection, and I`m CETHA member, waiting to the new boss.
